The Rings of Alleysiande

A Rooke’s Tale

The last rooke must try to keep two massive dragons, Tempestriel and Phaedra (the sorceress is named for this dragon), pacified with his tales or they will wake up and destroy the world so that it will be replaced by one that respects them and Creation. These dragons serve Creation unlike their counterparts, the shadow dragons, that wish to devour it with corruption to embarrass the creator of all, Ta-She-Serra.

There are two timelines…one with The Rooke telling tales of a past, thousands of years ago when a critical mistake was made putting creation forever in danger. Phaedra, the sorceress, appears in both timelines. She hides in a magic box (Ambriel’s Cube) to escape Hell when trying to defeat an evil specter called Terminus, only to reappear in the Rooke’s timeline. She realizes her mistake as the dragon’s wake up.

A Rooke’s Tale is made up of three books: The Ice Dragon, The Fire Dragon, and The Maligned Beggar

The entire series revolves around the Sorceress, Phaedra. She is the daughter of a divine sorcerer, Gareth Janus, (think Gandalf and Merlin) and the Queen of Hell, Lecretia.

Phaedra escapes Hell (Pandemonium) repeatedly as Janus and Lecretia have a cosmically intense custody battle. Phaedra despises her mother, loves her father, and loves human children and wishes to save them. However, she is told in order to save all the children and creation itself, she must return to Hell and her mother.

The entire series takes place in two timelines that are a few thousand years apart. The stories that give way to the modern world are in the past. Phaedra disrupts both timelines.
